Resilient Networks, Secured for the Quantum Era

ZeroTier Quantum is the world’s only software-defined, end-to-end quantum-secure networking platform. Post-quantum cryptography, a fully distributed control plane, and architecture-driven performance combine to deliver security for environments where resilience is non-negotiable.

Why ZeroTier Quantum

Secure Networking for Mission-Critical Environments

ZeroTier Quantum pairs post-quantum cryptography with a rigid, non-negotiated protocol. Every endpoint holds its own keys and enforces its own policy, even when disconnected.

Overview

How ZeroTier Quantum Works

ZeroTier Quantum replaces physical network boundaries with cryptographic identity and post-quantum secure, peer-to-peer connectivity.

Each network member is identified, authenticated, and connected using four core mechanisms:

Devices joining a ZeroTier network with cryptographic identity and direct encrypted links

Platform

The Platform Stack

ZeroTier Quantum combines lightweight Rust agents, a post-quantum peer-to-peer data layer, and a signed, distributed control layer. You can host every component yourself.

API / Command Line

ZeroTier Quantum is managed directly through command-line tools and APIs, giving operators full control over network configuration and behavior.

From these interfaces, teams can:

All configuration is distributed as cryptographically signed objects and enforced locally by each node.

Every change is scriptable, reviewable, and repeatable.

Control Layer

The control layer defines how networks behave.

Administrators use it to manage:

The orchestrator issues signed membership credentials and policy. It never sees traffic, holds no traffic keys, and keeps working disconnected.

Data Layer

The ZeroTier Quantum data layer forms a post-quantum secure, peer-to-peer virtual network.

Devices connect directly whenever possible, across the internet, private WANs, or fully isolated networks. Roots help peers find each other and relay ciphertext only when no direct path exists.

This enables:
ZeroTier Quantum agents running on servers, laptops, routers, and embedded devices

Agents

Every device that joins a ZeroTier Quantum network runs a lightweight agent, written in Rust.

The agent installs as a background service and presents a standard Layer 2 or Layer 3 interface. Applications run unmodified, including non-IP and multicast traffic.

The agent:

Agents run across servers, desktops, mobile devices, routers, and embedded systems

Architecture

Flexible Network Design

ZeroTier Quantum networks run as secure virtual networks on the infrastructure you already run.

Connectivity follows identity and policy, not physical topology.
